The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to debut in China later this month, with the latest rumor pointing to a launch in the fourth week of December. Ahead of the expected launch, new details about the phone’s camera setup have surfaced online.
According to a tipster, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a new Leica lens coating that will offer improved clarity, reduced reflections, and minimized chromatic aberration.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra offers dual telephoto cameras
Recent rumors have also suggested that the upcoming Ultra phone will come with a triple rear camera setup. Notably, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra offered a quad-rear camera unit with dual telephoto cameras. The upcoming 17 Ultra will reportedly stick to a single telephoto sensor.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It is expected to pack a large capacity battery, a flat display, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, satellite connectivity, and other improvements.
The phone will join the recently launched Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.
