Google’s annual developer conference is taking place on May 19-20. As usual, the event will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California and is scheduled to kick off on May 19 at 10AM PT (5PM UTC). Google confirmed that it will be livestreaming all keynotes, demos and developer sessions.

Google also confirmed plans to unveil updates to Gemini AI, Android, Chrome and Cloud at the conference. Last year’s I/O event was mostly centered around AI with new releases to the Pro and Flash Gemini models as well as the Imagen 4 image generator and Veo 3 AI video generator.

This year’s I/O will likely follow a similar focus on AI model announcements alongside a sneak peek at Android 17 (codenamed Cinnamon Bun) ahead of its stable release in June. We should also get some updates on other platforms like Android XR, Wear OS, Android TV as well as Google Workspace.
