Last week, CEO Carl Pei mentioned the upcoming Nothing Phone (4a) phones, calling them a “complete evolution”. However, the CEO didn’t mention any specifics, not even a concrete launch date. Now leakster Yogesh Brar is shedding some light on the matter.
According to Brar, the Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro will launch globally in early March. The most likely date for that is March 5.
The leakster mentions upgraded storage, which Nothing has already confirmed – the (4a) models will use UFS 3.1 storage, up from UFS 2.2 on the (3a) models. However, this is likely to come with a price bump, even though it’s hardly the latest UFS format.

Leaks suggest that both models will use Snapdragon 7-series chipsets, though the exact chips haven’t been identified yet. Pei promised upgrades to the display and cameras too, not just overall performance. However, we don’t have details on those changes yet.
The new models will bring a modest bump to battery capacity – the EU database revealed that the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro will have a 5,080mAh battery rated for 1,400 charge cycles. For comparison, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a 5,000mAh battery also rated at 1,400 cycles. The charging rate will remain the same at 50W.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro’s EPREL certification
Another upgrade mentioned in the EPREL database is that the new Pro will be rated IP65 – this is up from IP64 on its predecessor.
Pei stated that Nothing will not be launching a flagship this year, so there is a lot riding on the Phone (4a) series.
