Telegram has announced that it’s rolling out a fully redesigned interface for its Android app, making navigation and search quicker and more intuitive.
The most notable change this redesign brings is the new bottom bar, which lets you quickly switch between the Chats, Settings, Profile, and other tabs.
In addition to the UI redesign, Telegram “completely rebuilt” the interface code to maximize efficiency and increase responsiveness. You can head to the Settings > Power Saving menu to maximize performance and extend battery life.
Telegram users on iOS also get a redesigned media viewer, new preview panels for sticker and emoji packs, and updated context menus in user profiles and when selecting messages. For iPad users, Telegram introduced a new keyboard shortcut to send messages: ⌘+Enter.
If you are a group owner, Telegram will now automatically transfer your group ownership to one of the group’s admins one week after you leave the chat. Group owners will also see a confirmation window when leaving the group chat, allowing them to choose a new group owner. However, group owners can also transfer ownership to another group member without leaving the chat.

In addition to these updates, Telegram introduced a crafting system that allows users to combine existing collectible gifts to create Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary versions with artwork and unique effects.
The crafting interface lets Telegram users add up to four gifts, with each additional gift increasing their chances of success. Additionally, using multiple gifts with the same attributes increases the likelihood that those attributes appear in the final item.
The collectible gifts can be bought and sold via Telegram’s Gift Marketplace.
The new Telegram update brings something for bot developers, too. They can now add emojis and colors to their buttons to make interfaces more intuitive or highlight specific actions.
If you are using Telegram on an Android device, an iPhone, or an iPad, you’ll have to update the app from the official app store to get the new features.
