Samsung shares an infographic detailing the advancements made by Galaxy AI so far

Several years ago, Samsung released the first 5G phone – more recently, the company has found another technology to focus on. This infographic details the path that Samsung took from what it calls the world’s first AI phones, the Galaxy S24 series, to today. Sure, it’s a time span of less than two years, but a lot has happened in the meantime.

The Galaxy S24 series introduced things like real-time two-way translation, writing assistance (grammar, style, summarization and transcription) and it introduced Google’s Circle to Search. Initially, 13 languages were supported, but a few months later three more were added.

Foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 utilized their two screens for handy features like Interpreter – showing one language on one side and another language on the other with real-time translation. Before the end of 2024, support for four more languages arrived.

2025 brought multimodal AI – that is AI that can simultaneously handle multiple types of data at once, e.g. text, images, video and audio. Additionally, Samsung’s upgraded platform introduced AI agents that can act across apps. One UI also added Now Brief and Gemini support.

The latest iteration of One UI arrived with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. It improved the multimodal capabilities, allowing you to share your screen and camera with Gemini Live and have a natural conversation with it about what it sees. Samsung also partnered with Google and Qualcomm to enhance Bixby.

There’s more – Galaxy Watches have supported AI since One UI 6 Watch. The Galaxy Book laptops similarly adopted AI wholeheartedly. Check out the infographic for a detailed timeline:
