Realme will launch the GT 8 series in October with a vanilla and Pro model. The vanilla model has been doing some unofficial testing and results from Geekbench 6.5.0 have surfaced.
The Realme GT 8 will be powered by the original Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Pro model will feature the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. In case you missed it, we benchmarked the Gen 5 chip using none other than the Realme GT 8 Pro (a prototype version of the phone, at least). The new chip promises a 20% CPU performance uplift compared to the previous model.
Here are the results from the Realme GT 8 (RMX6699, the model for China). The single-core and multi-core CPU scores are around what we would expect. The RAM capacity for this model is 16GB, though the base capacity might still be 12GB.

Note that this is version 6.5.0 of Geekbench, while most of the benchmarking so far has been done on v6.4.0. Another thing that might throw off the score is that the phone ran Android 15 for some reason – maybe that’s early development software. Realme already has Android 16/Realme UI 7.0 in the works. And the GT 8 Pro is expected to run Android 16 out of the box.
Meanwhile, the phone also appeared on 3C with a certification for 100W wired charging. If we look at the Chinese GT7, that model supported 100W wired-only charging for its 7,200mAh Si/C battery, while the global GT 7 had 120W wired-only charging for its 7,000mAh Si/C battery. We expect to see some regional variations this year too.

We’ve seen plenty of leaks, but the company has officially confirmed only a few details and all of them are about the GT 8 Pro, not the vanilla GT 8. The Pro will use the Gen 5 chip. It will also have a QHD display and a 200MP camera.
