This year, Realme is streamlining its numerical lineup, so the Realme 15 Pro is a successor to the Realme 14 Pro+ from earlier this year, while the vanilla Realme 15 succeeds the Realme 14 Pro.
Realme 15 Pro
The new Realme 15 Pro is based on a more powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and retains essentially the same 6.8-inch OLED panel, but with a 144Hz refresh rate this time around. Realme is promising excellent sustained performance thanks to its large AirFlow VC.
The camera department gets three 50MP cameras – two on the back and one on the front. That means no dedicated telephoto unit this time around. The main unit uses a Sony IMX 896 sensor 1/1.56″ in size, while the ultrawide is upgraded from 8MP to 50MP. The selfie shooter is also 50MP, which we expect to be a substantial upgrade over the dated 32MP sensor used by the Realme 14 Pro+ earlier this year.
In addition to the hardware upgrades, Realme is introducing some new AI-related camera features, one of which is called AI Edit Genie, which works in the default gallery.
The battery gets a huge upgrade as it’s now 7,000 mAh, while still supporting 80W fast charging. Realme assures that your battery will retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
But despite the bigger battery, Realme managed to slim down the phone to 7.69mm, which is just a tad thinner than the previous model.
Realme 15 Pro colors
The handset comes in three color variants – Flowing Silver, Velvet Green and Silk Purple. The starting price for the 8GB/128GB version is INR 28,999 (~$335), while the 8GB/256GB version asks INR 30,999 (~$360). There are also beefier configurations with 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB memory, and those are priced at INR 32,999 (~$380) and INR 35,999 (~$415).
Realme 15
The vanilla Realme 15 runs with the Dimensity 7300+ chipset on board and offers the same 6.8-inch, slightly curved 144Hz OLED panel like its more expensive sibling.
The camera system is a step-down compared to the Pro, replacing the 50MP ultrawide sensor with a smaller 8MP unit, but it retains the 50MP primary and selfie cams. Oh, and the AI Edit Genie is available on the non-Pro as well.
The standard 15 also gets the big 7,000 mAh battery with the speedy 80W charging.
The Realme 15 proper is also offered with three paint jobs – Velvet Green, Flowing Silver, and Silk Pink. The available memory options are 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, priced at INR 23,999 (~$280), INR 25,999 (~$300), and INR 28,999 (~$335), respectively.
