OnePlus has already officially confirmed the upcoming OnePlus 13’s huge battery, its support for magnetic wireless charging, and its display specs, ahead of the October 31 unveiling event.
Today, the brand is pushing its teaser campaign forward with newly confirmed details about the device. The OnePlus 13 will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, with a “super intuitive” position. As any other ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, this one will work with wet fingers, while unlocking at night won’t require a ton of light so it will be more comfortable. The sensor should also be faster than the optical ones the company has been using so far.
OnePlus 13 confirmed specs: fingerprint sensor, vibration motor, IP ratings
Moving on, the phone will also have a much improved vibration motor, enabling “(gaming) controller-level 4D vibration” for more immersive haptic feedback. The motor has a 602mm³ volume, making it the largest one ever used on an Android device. It will be paired with 72 types of haptic feedback.
Finally (for now), the OnePlus 13 is confirmed to be both IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance. What this means is that it will be dust tight, not allowing any ingress of dust particles, and it will also withstand immersion in water at 1m depth, and will withstand close-range high-pressure high-temperature water sprays.
The OnePlus 13 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and has been rumored to come with ample amounts of memory, and three 50 MP cameras on the back. OnePlus has already confirmed its 6,000 mAh battery which will support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
