An official render of the Google Pixel 10a has leaked and… hold on a minute, we just need to check that we didn’t accidentally embed the Pixel 9a image instead. Okay, jokes aside, we knew not to expect a new design from the upcoming a-model.

For one, we already saw CAD-based renders of the phone. Also, back in August, Google said that we should expect a Pixel redesign every 2-3 years. Considering that the 9a changed things up from the 8a, we probably won’t see a new design until the 11a at the earliest.

Anyway, that’s not necessarily a bad thing – there aren’t many phones with 6.3” displays around (the 10a display technically measures 6.285”), especially not at this price point. The bezels are on the chunky side, which is not unexpected on a cheap phone.

Also, how many phones are there with a flush or nearly flush camera? Speaking of, the camera will remain a dual-lens setup, as you can see in the images below (the camera island looks a tad bigger). Leaked specs claim it will have a 48MP main (f/1.7) and a 13MP ultra-wide (f/2.2) module.

The 6.3” OLED display will have a 120Hz refresh rate, though it won’t be an LTPO panel. Inside should be an identical 5,100mAh battery with 23W charging. In other words, no change from the 9a.

This might even apply to the chipset – leaked source code indicated that the 10a will use the same Tensor G4 as the 9a. This should be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Tensor G5 offers a decent jump in performance over the G4, even if it’s still behind the leading Qualcomm and MediaTek chips.

The 9a was unveiled in mid-March, but the most recent rumors suggest an earlier launch for the Google Pixel 10a – it could be in stores by mid-February. It is said to have four colorways: Obsidian, Berry, Fog and Lavender. As a reminder, the old 9a had a different palette: Obsidian, Peony, Porcelain and Iris.
