The Z70 Ultra cameraphone is expected to be announced in a mere two days, and nubia can barely keep their excitement about the phone’s new features. We already know it will have a screen with a more detailed resolution and an even higher refresh rate, and today, we learned more about the cameras on the back.
The 50 MP main camera will be the same custom-made 35 mm shooter from the Z60 Ultra but with a variable aperture, as recently revealed in a leaked video. The telephoto lens will have a new f/2.48 lens, while the ultra-wide-angle snapper will capture images with a 122-degree FoV.
nubia Z70 Ultra camera details
The main shooter’s aperture will be between f/1.59 and f/4.0 with a 7P lens (6 layers of plastic + 1 layer of glass on top). It will also have a dedicated Night Sky mode, which can take pictures of the sky with a long exposure.
The telephoto cam will be 64 MP and can focus on objects just 15 cm from the device. The f/2.48 is also wider than f/3.3 on the previous model, and will let more light in.
The ultra-wide camera also appears to have been overhauled. It should be able to take pictures from as close as 2.5 cm and will have a 13 mm equivalent lens.
The nubia brand is going all in with making the Z70 Ultra a true camera flagship, and that’s why the phone will also have a two-step key to take photos. It will be a physical button, like the Xperia 1 solution and not like the iPhone’s capacitive area.
