Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship SoC in September and followed it up with a non-Elite version two days ago. The OnePlus 15R, launching on December 17, will be the first smartphone in international markets to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 under the hood. Qualcomm confirmed that Motorola will announce a smartphone with this chip soon, but there’s no word from the Lenovo-owned brand about it yet. However, reliable leakster Evan Blass has revealed that an upcoming Motorola smartphone codenamed “Urus” will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
Blass revealed that Urus is a “non-foldable flagship” and will likely be branded as the Edge 70 Ultra. If you are wondering about a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Motorola phone, it could be the Razr 70 Ultra.

Motorola Edge 70
Right now, Motorola’s Edge 70 series includes only one smartphone: the Edge 70, unveiled last month. Its key specs include the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, a 6.7″ 120Hz 1,220p display, and a 4,800 mAh battery. The smartphone features three 50MP cameras – one on the front and two on the rear.
