While Samsung hasn’t officially sent them out yet, the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 invites leaked earlier today and revealed that the big event is happening on February 25. Like last year, there will be three models: Vanilla, Plus and Ultra. Renders and some key specs for the trio have been leaking for a while and they leaked yet again. Here we will look at the first two, while the Ultra will be covered in a separate article.
First, only one set of renders was supplied for the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ because the only difference between them is their size. The table below has the unofficial measurements, plus those of their predecessors.
| Galaxy S25 | Galaxy S26 | Galaxy S25+ | Galaxy S26+ | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.2” | 6.3” | 6.7” | 6.7” |
| Height | 146.9mm | 149.6mm | 158.4mm | 158.4mm |
| Width | 70.5mm | 71.7mm | 75.8mm | 75.8mm |
| Thickness | 7.2mm | 7.2mm | 7.3mm | 7.3mm |
| Weight | 162g | 137g | 190g | 190g |
| Battery | 4,000mAh | 4,300mAh | 4,900mAh | 4,900mAh |
The Galaxy S26+’s dimensions are the same to the first decimal, while the vanilla S26 will be noticeably lighter than the old model, even though it will have the same thickness.
Also, the Galaxy S26 will get a modest bump in screen size to 6.3”, which makes the chassis taller and a bit wider. The plus model missed out on a display upgrade, so it will use almost the same 6.7” panel (it will reportedly have a new protective glass, though).
There’s a chance that the vanilla model will be upgraded to 45W charging to match the S26+ (while the S26 Ultra will go up to 60W to stand out). And it should have a bigger battery too as noted in the table (+300mAh).
All S26 models will adopt magnetic Qi2 and satellite communication. The vanilla model should also feature the UWB, which it has been missing for years (it’s important if you use tracking tags).

Samsung Galaxy S26 (speculative renders)
While the renders show only a black phone, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ should also come in three other hues: white, violet and blue.
The Galaxy S26+ (and S26 Ultra) were recently spotted running Geekbench on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, though there is still some uncertainty about which regions will get an Exynos 2600 instead. Note that the vanilla model is finally getting 256GB as base storage – an upgrade that could prove quite costly.
