The back of this snapped iPhone is fairly easy to remove – all you need is some heat, a prying tool and the removal of two pentalobe screws. The interior is primarily occupied by the metal-enclosed 3,149mAh battery, and we can see the MagSafe magnets and copper coils, which facilitate wireless charging.

The screen is held down by a hefty amount of glue as well as a tri-point screw and two ribbon cables.

Back to the other side, where the battery is held in place by the same electrically releasing adhesive as the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Once the special tab on the battery is activated with the correct voltage, the pull-tabs release the battery.
