The X4 Air is Insta360’s latest 360-degree action cam and it brings up to 8K30 video recording at a more affordable price point compared to the flagship Insta360 X5 model.

At its core, X4 Air gets dual 1/1.8-inch sensors which is a big upgrade compared to ½-inch sensors on its predecessor. You can record videos in 8K (7680×3840) resolution at 30/25/24fps as well as 6K (6016×3008) @50/48/30/25/24fps or 4K (3840×1920) @50/48/30/25/24fps. Photos are snapped at 29MP (7680×3840) resolution.


X4 Air supports replaceable lenses and Insta360’s magnetic mounts
X4 Air also supports replaceable lenses, a built-in wind guard and Insta360’s magnetic mounts for accessories. True to its name, X4 Air weighs 165 grams, which is 15 grams lighter than the Insta360 X4 and 35 grams lighter than the Insta360 X5.

The Air is also waterproof up to 15m on its own while the optional dive case extends that to 60m. It packs a 2,010 mAh battery rated at up to 88 minutes of 8K30 video recording.
Insta360 X4 Air comes in Graphite Black and Arctic White colors and starts at $400. The top-tier “No Drone No Problem” bundle includes a lens cap and an extended edition selfie stick, which goes for $506. It is available now from Insta360 as well as Amazon and partnering retailers.
