Infinix introduced its own take on Android 16 with XOS 16. It refines the visual design aspect for future Infinix phones and brings new personalization features alongside a lengthy list of AI features.

On the visual front, Infinix is going for a more refined look dubbed Glow-space. It arrives alongside updated liquid motion animations which are faster and smoother than before. Users are also treated to new personalization options with new system app icons, wallpapers, lock screen options and custom themes as well as an optional depth effect for lock screen and home screen. There’s even an AI theme generator that accepts text and image input.

AI plays a central role in XOS 16 through the Folax assistant and numerous AI features. AI Note leverages AI to make sketches look more presentable. AI Recording Summary brings instant transcripts and summaries with zero user input. Flash Memo captures on-screen content and generates summaries and tags for later recall.

Infinix is also bringing an AI Call Assistant which offers real-time translation, call summaries and auto-answer for important calls. There’s also an additional suite of AI features for students with options for translating, scanning documents, writing and solving more complex questions.

The AI upgrades also extend to the camera app, which now brings a native eraser function as well as an option to extend images. Gamers are treated to the new system-level features with toggles for different performance modes – performance, balanced, and power saving. Infinix is also enabling bypass charging, frame interpolation for smoother graphics and Magic Voice Changer 2.0 with adjustable voice profiles.
XOS 16 will arrive out of the box on future Infinix smartphones and will also come to current and older Infinix devices at a later date.
