In August 2024, Huawei launched its affordable flip foldable, the Huawei nova Flip. It’s now more than a year later and its successor still hasn’t arrived – it is coming, though, as China Telecom uploaded it to its database (but that doesn’t mean it’s official yet).

The Huawei nova Flip S has a model number PSD-AL80 and has three memory configurations: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB and 12GB/1TB. There’s no word on pricing yet, but the original Flip recently got a price cut to CNY 2,900 ($410/€345/₹36,000).
The upcoming S model will be offered in six colors: Sakura Pink, Zero White, Sky Blue, Star Black, Feather Sand Black and New Green. Unfortunately, the only images available from China Telecom show the inside screen.
Here is the original nova Flip, which was available in four colors. These have the same names as four of the Flip S colors, but the new model will add Sky Blue and Feather Sand Black.

It’s not clear when Huawei will unveil the nova Flip S – it might happen in October, but that’s just speculation at this point.
