Earlier this year, Honor teased its Robot Phone – a concept smartphone with a gimbal camera attached to a robotic arm on its back. The device was later confirmed to see an official launch at MWC 2026 in March, but Honor decided to host a preview ahead of MWC during its Honor User Carnival in China.

This is our first look at the Robot Phone in the flesh, and we get to see the different design iterations, color options and its key selling point – the gimbal camera.
Honor Robot Phone’s different colors and material finishes
Honor will offer the Robot Phone in Black, White, and Gold colors and depending on the color, the back will either sport a faux leather or glass back. The back features an iPhone 17 Pro-like design with an aluminum chassis and a glass window below the camera island.

The gimbal camera retracts from the recessed area in the camera island. The Robot Phone is expected to feature a plethora of AI features that allow the gimbal to move and interact with what it sees.
Honor did not confirm if the Robot Phone will get a commercial launch or if it will remain as a prototype, but we’ll hopefully get more details in the months leading to MWC 2026.
