Honor confirms the Magic8 Pro Air's battery capacity

The Magic8 Pro Air is Honor’s entry into the super-thin smartphone game. The brand will make it official on January 19, and ahead of that it’s already confirmed that it’s just 6.1mm thick and weighs only 155g, while having a triple rear camera system that includes a 50MP main shooter with a 1/1.3″ type sensor and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera.

Now, Honor has finally revealed the Magic8 Pro Air’s battery capacity: 5,500 mAh. Obviously, this is smaller than what we’ve recently seen from Chinese brands using Si/C tech, but it’s hilariously 10% larger than the battery inside the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, despite how thin the Honor is.

In fact, Honor says it’s using the highest energy density battery ever put inside a flagship smartphone for the Magic8 Pro Air, with a density of 917Wh/l. The battery supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Earlier today, the Magic8 Pro Air was spotted in the Geekbench database with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC at the helm and 16GB of RAM.
