
The Redmi Note 15 5G became official for markets outside of China yesterday, but it apparently still has a way to go until it reaches India. Following up on its very extensive teaser campaign for the device, today Redmi’s arm in India has finally revealed when the Note 15 5G is landing over there: on January 6.

We have to admit that we’re a bit confused about the fact that Redmi India is pretending that this is the only Note 15 device that exists – there are in fact five of them. And if we look at the brand’s teasers in India, it seems like only this one is launching over there? That can’t be true, can it? Well, we don’t know, but it definitely seems that way.

The Redmi Note 15 5G is rumored to start at INR 22,999 (8/128GB) and go up to INR 24,999 (8/256GB version). The phone comes with a 6.77-inch 1080×2392 AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate, 3,840Hz PWM, and 3,200-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC at the helm, a 108MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, a 20MP selfie camera, and a 5,520 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
