
If you’ve been patiently waiting for a new Xbox, AMD may have just hinted at how much longer you still need to wait for it to show up. During AMD’s earnings call, CEO Lisa Su said work is ongoing on the semi-custom SoC that will be used in the console.
With AMD’s current scheduling, a 2027 launch should be supported. However, Microsoft will obviously have the final say. What this most likely means is that there’s almost no chance to see the next Xbox before 2027, but Microsoft could push it even further.

Microsoft and AMD have embarked on a strategic multi-year partnership to co-engineer silicon for the entire Xbox ecosystem. Microsoft has previously revealed that the next-gen Xbox hardware will focus on a more premium experience, while also supporting multiple form factors.
