Brave is a new company headquartered in India – no, it has nothing to do with the browser – that just launched its first device, a large Android tablet.

It’s called the Brave Ark and it combines a sizable 12.95” 144Hz LCD (2,880 x 1,840px) with Android 15, which features a custom Desktop Mode. The USB-C port allows you to add a second display to the mix. This Desktop Mode supports fully-resizable windows for advanced multitasking.

The Brave Ark has a Desktop Mode and supports a stylus

The tablet is powered by the old but still fairly fast Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (4nm, using Cortex-X4+A720+A520 cores and an Adreno 735). There is only one configuration available at the moment with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage, but there is a microSD slot if you need more storage.

The Brave Ark has a massive 14,550mAh battery – this is among the largest we’ve seen yet. It’s even more impressive since the dual-cell battery fits inside a 7.6mm body. The battery supports 33W USB-PD charging.

This tablet is designed for work and study – the company offers a matching keyboard that snaps on magnetically and uses pogo pins for a physical connection (and yes, it does have an AI key, how did you know?).

The optional Brave keyboard

Additionally, the display supports the Ark Pen stylus – the digitizer tracks it at 240Hz (sub-10ms move latency), can recognize 4,096 levels of pressure and can detect tilt angles over 50°. The stylus is battery-powered (lasting up to 12 hours on a charge) and uses a magnetic attachment similar to the keyboard.

This is not to say that the Ark can’t have some fun – there are 8 speakers with DTS Audio on board, that is 4 woofers plus 4 tweeters.

Brave Ark tablet highlights

The Brave Ark tablet is available on Amazon India for ₹35,000 (12/256GB unit). The first 200 customers will get the keyboard for free, but it is otherwise sold separately.

Brave Ark retail package

The stylus is included in the standard package, though, as is a case and a charger. There are two other cases – a shock-resistant case and a TPU leather case with a built-in kickstand.
