Honor is gearing up to launch its own thin and light premium phone with the Magic 8 Air. The device was teased by the brand’s President on Weibo, where it is said to feature both Pro and Air features.
We’re not exactly sure what this entails, but it could be a nod to flagship camera hardware and a larger battery capacity compared to rivals like the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
Tipster UniverseIce also shared a schematic render for the Magic 8 Air, which shows a brushed aluminum back with a visor design for its cameras that’s quite similar to the Google Pixel series. This image is just a render, so the actual device may end up with a different design.

According to UniverseIce, Magic 8 Air will be 6.3mm, which is actually thicker than the iPhone Air (5.6mm) and Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8mm). Still, Honor’s Air is expected to undercut its rivals in weight. As per the post, Magic 8 Air will weigh just 158 grams compared to the iPhone Air’s 165 grams and the S25 Edge’s 163 grams.
In addition, Li Kun, Honor’s Product Manager, shared an image showing the Magic 8 Air against the iPhone Air on a scale, which shows the Magic 8 Air’s weight advantage.
