Huawei was the largest smartphone vendor in the second quarter, shipping 12.2 million phones, which accounted for 18% of the market share. That’s a 15% increase year-over-year. Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.0-powered Nova 14 series proved key in its Q2 success.

Close in second was vivo with 11.8 million units shipped – a 17% share of the market. Vivo’s staggered release strategy saw new models in the X200, S30, and Y300 series.

Oppo (featuring OnePlus models as well) was third with 10.7 million units shipped, or 16% of the market.

Xiaomi and Apple were fourth and fifth with a shared 15% of the market and 10.4 million and 10.1 million shipped phones, respectively.
